How we test

Plain-language testing, grounded in evidence

Each article explains what a device does and where its limits are. We run laptops and phones through sustained workloads, note how they manage heat, and describe the results without jargon.

Hardware teardowns show how a device is built, so readers can judge its ergonomics and long-term value. Where a claim cannot be verified, we say so plainly rather than repeat it.

Our reporting stays separate from equipment retail and sponsored store funnels. Readers get the explanation first, with no sales pressure in between.

What we assess

Three anchors for every review

Sustained performance

We judge how speed holds up over long sessions, not only in short bursts.

Screen clarity

We describe brightness, colour accuracy, and readability in ordinary light.

Repairability

We note how easily a device can be opened, serviced, and upgraded over time.
